Antique English 19th Century Stoneware Kitchen storage jar with beautiful original lettering to the front. The lettering says 'Raisins' in a decorative flag border around it. It is made by the British pottery Bourne Denby.

It has a wonderful cream stoneware colour with original lid. Ideal farmhouse style kitchen pot which is super useful and would look great on a dresser or counter top.
The jar dates to the Victorian era and are in great condition for their age. It is a old working item and is in perfectly imperfect. It is in good condition, some superficial chips to the lid and rim, no other chips or cracks, good condition for age.
The detail and lettering have a good colour beneath the glaze. Considering this is a old working jar and is over 100 years old they are in great condition.
