Salvaged from an old bakery this loaf tin dates to circa 1950s and was made by the famous English brand Hovis.
This loaf tin would have been used in the bakery to bake Hovis loaves.
This is a more rustic tin and although it probably could be used, we are selling for decorative purposes only, it would make a great planter for herbs on a kitchen windowsill!
Stamped HOVIS so that it would imprint on the bread with a H at the ends of the tin. Stamped to the base it says 'to be used for hovis bread only'
The loaf tin is a rustic salvaged item, and it was a working tin, so it shows sign of wear, rusting and tarnishing. No holes or weaknesses to the metal. There is some black tarnishing through age and use. We would recommended for decorative purpose only.
