This wonderful set of antique weighing scales are a lovely addition to a kitchen.
British made by the famous Salter brand these scales would have been used in a household kitchen for weighing out produce and for baking.
Now these scales make a pretty and useful decoration to a kitchen. These scales are so decorative they make a lovely alternative to a fruit bowl filled with fruit or fill with sweets or pile with baubles or easter eggs for a quirky seasonal decoration. Another lovely idea is placing a plant pot on the scale pan and using it as a rustic plant potholder!
We are selling these as decorative only as we are unsure how accurately they weigh.
The base is painted a wonderful chippy bottle green, the pan has tarnished to a rusty metal, The face of the scale is in the original cream patina and has some wear.
In rustic vintage condition for their age, chips and wear and rust to the paint work and the pan is rusted and tarnished, the face has some wear.
Perfect for a farmhouse styled kitchen!
The pan can be removed.
